I was originally planing to get a Xonar Essence STX with Ultrasone Pro 750, but Dacs and Amps is something I'm not familiar with, and the more i looked around here and else where the more i wondered if this was the best way to spend my money. Now I'm not opposed to the Ultrasones(not set on them either), but it seems like there could be better options then the sound card.
So with that said, does anyone has any suggestions of a better setup? None of it needs to be portable, room isn't a issue and i use a desktop.
Budget is roughly 600$, i don't have anything at the moment (Current cans are buggered, HD555's)
Music wise, mostly electronic, i do watch movies often and play games. (mostly RPGS/RTS)
Cans: Full size, no preference between open or closed, i will be using them for long periods of time, so comfy is a must.
