Sadly, I don't have the funds to pull the trigger, but you might. Get the awesome Denon AH-D7000 for $549. The vendor looks legit and they say it's in stock. Get the 7000 for the retail ticket price of 5000. They even have the 2000 for less than $200.

Search for the seller on head-fi, after that I do have my doubts if they really are legit

Thanks for the heads up. I see other head-fiers encountered them last month. I'm curious if anybody has really received it for that price from them.

FYI, I called these guys when I was shopping for mine, and their customer service seemed horrible. I asked if they were an authorized dealer, and the person on the phone just said "yes" and quickly dismissed the call. Seemed a bit fishy to me. If you can actually get them for $550, that's really good, but I wouldn't count on having the warranty honored if anything breaks.

just pay 50 bucks more and get them from j&r... i am not saying they are not legit, they might be, but there is no point risking 550 bucks from these guys when there is a confirmed legit deal out there for 50 more.
