I received my custom stand from Larry this week. It came out very nice. Thanks to socrates63 for informing on how to show the picture.

I really like my Headphile stand, too.

Yes it is the Purple Heart base. It is about the size of the triple even though it is a double. Larry also added 4" inches to the hanger and included Lambskin on it.

The problem is tha if I want the stand .. I want the woody as well on my 580

I am not sure I want a woody to change the sound It could be a hit or miss, So I guess I would need a woody with a grid, is that correct ?

Is woody on HD580 mainly for look orverkilling it ? Damsn Headfi for my budget

Yeah I think it might be just a little overkill for the 580s since the cups cost as much as the headphones themselves, but they are really nice and Larry is a good guy to deal with. I am sorta confused by his page on the stands though which one is the one pictured?

You won't find it on the page because as mentioned in the title, it was a custom job

Probably costs somewhere between the 2-stand and 3-stand cost, but what do I know?
