"Creative Labs has launched three new E-MU professional sound cards. The new E-MU 1212M PCI, 1616 PCI and 1616M PCI are targeted towards creative musicians seeking multiple input/outputs, ASIO and high quality DACs and ADCs. At the lower end of the new E-MU product lineup is the 1212M PCI. It features 24-bit/192 KHz DAC and ADCs with a 120dB signal-to-noise-ratio. Audio I/O capabilities include 12 input and 12 outputs with MIDI I/O and Firewire. Two ¼” balanced inputs are also available too."

"The new E-MU cards are priced at $150, $350 and $450 for the 1212M PCI, 1616 PCI and 1616M PCI respectively."

Good thing I didn't buy an X-Fi Xtreme Music Soundcard just yet

Maybe some summer worker ....

Actually those 1616 PCI models launched out couple of weeks ago.

They seem to drop the price for 1212M. Wasn't it something around 200US$ before.

Just waiting, if they produce a FireWire version for M.

Both of the 1212Ms are listed on Creative's webpage? Is there anything different about the new 1212M? Also, when will these cards be available on the market? I've noticed that the 0404 is out of stock at many retailers. Is this because they're awaiting the 0404 PCI?

It's Creative messing there now ... E-MU announced new model "E-MU 0202 USB" and "0404 USB" coming out around June/July ... not seen those models out yet (actually not listed on E-MU site either).
