Wrong secton of the forum

. Do you need an amp? Can you tell differences in audio quality from a slight change? If not, I wouldn't bother with an amp. the Westone 3 should be fantastic. I own the UM3X and apparently the W3 is more bassy but less detailed, a more fun IEM. The D2+ is a good DAP but something like the Walkman X1060 3rd gen iPod touch or new 160gb are better. I own both the 3rd gen touch and X1060 and must say: I find the Touch is more detailed and less bassy than the X1060 when amped with my P-51 Mustang. The X1060 doesn't need to be amped, I cannot tell a difference when it is amped and un-amped, mainly because I havent tested it properley, but the touch with the amp is better than the X1060 IMO. The X1060 has morebass at the expense of detail and sondstage IMO. I prefer the Walkman though, it's got a OLED screen, battery life is MUCH, MUCH better thn the Touch, looks better and it has playback buttons on the top of it. I should really sell one but can't decide

Better try the Portable Headphone Amps forum, since the RSA Tomahawk certainly qualify as one.
