I actually saw those in RadioShack the other day and tried them on. They were very solid and comfortable though a little heavy. If you want to try them go to RadioShack and take a look.

Well, the problem is that they are giving the poor regular folk a *wrong* explanation: they are mixing the definitions for "closed cans" and "circumaural cans"

Here is the entire definition they give for closed cans: "A closed headphone refers to a headphone that has cushions that encircle and enclose the ear. Closed cushions can give the impression of delivering a deeper bass performance because they retain, or capture, the bass frequencies and eliminate the sound from "bleeding through." Closed cushions also isolate the listener from ambient noise."

According to this definition, Sennheiser HD-600 should be a closed headphone...

I *might* forgive them if they will send me a couple of KSC 35s as a nice gift...
