New cartridge or new stylus?

Ooook. The cartridge that came with my turntable is an old Grado. It says Grado GF2 on the front of the cartridge so I assume that's the model. The replacement stylus for this is ~$50 as far as I can tell.

Now, I can either buy the replacement stylus OR buy an entirely new cartridge and I'm not sure what to do

did you like the way the cart sounded before the stylus got worn out and used like a two-bit whore?

if they cartridge suits your tastes, just get a new stylus.

if the cartridge does not, now is the perfect time to get a different one.

Haha.. it came with a broken stylus

I could always get a new cartridge and replace the stylus later to see if I like the other cartridge.
