after a couple of hours of fun DIY reading and searching for silmics for my ppa, an engineer friend chimed in (also very familiar with the elna ones) and recommended these caps. manufactured by Mundorf, Germany, these are the M-Cap Supreme Silver/Oil Capacitors. i'm not exactly very knowledgeable of caps and the figures in paper, i was wondering you guys can read this for me and give your opinions. honestly, it looks quite promising. the web site says it's a new offering from Mundorf which gave us the previous MCap-Supreme (which according to the page, has been an international bestseller for ten years).

i was really aiming to use silmics (or blackgates). but now, these silver oil ones "could be" a step up(?).

Sorry, but these doesn't have enough capacitance for C1 and C4. They have enough capacitance for C5, but they won't fit the PPA PCB nicely.

Are you using the genuine PPA board or the korean design?

guess this means silmic all the way. gus_tavo will be using two, the ordinary and another korean modified one. he wants to do a comparison. for me, i'll stick to the clear path.

You can use Elna Silmic or Cerafines with a diameter of 12.5mm. Both are 220uf--35volts.

It is an metalized in oil cap. It sound may is difference from PIO capacitors.
