My ATH-A900s showed up today. I'm listening to Kamelot right now. They sound pretty good to me right out of the box. My amp is the headphone stage of a Myryad MP100 and my source is a Classe CDP.3. I'm going to burn these bad boys in for a week or so until I make a real judgment on them. They're freakin' huge no doubt!
Like I said, they sound pretty good to me with a whole half hour burn-in. It should be noted that they're replacing Senn HD-265s.
Next is a new amp. A friend of mine has a Darkvoice 332 that I'm hoping to try out. I know a lot of folks have posted that this phone doesn't need an amp but I want to try out a few to see for myself.
Finally, a big, huge, gigantic thumbs up to Audiocubes! Great transaction the whole time.
