I see that you have the Conductor in stock. How does it sound with the Audezes?

I only have the LCD-3 at the moment, and it sounds fantastic. Plenty of bottom end tight impact. Great top end detail. No complaints what so ever:)

I have it paired with the LCD2 rev3. It sounds excellent. The improvements over my previous HA-160ds were huge! I felt I heard the LCD2 to its true power for the first time! Wider soundstage, a lot more details, the bass...oh the bass....so controlled, so punchy, so detailed, the background so dark, etc. I love it!

What I don't get is how the Burson Timekeeper Poweramp is 75 Watts x 2 while the channels bridged equals so much more (250 watts)?

I plan on the Burson Conductor to start, with something like the LCD 2 / LCD 3 / Sennheiser HD 700, then get one Timekeeper with some Kef LS50's, then add another Timekeeper, then add a Sub. Sennheiser IE 800 for my iPhone and my eventual predicted Retina iPad Mini 2 / 13-Inch Retina Haswell MacBook Pro. Perhaps a portable DAC Headphone amp like the $400 one from Centrance.

When can we expect the Timekeeper, and why the hell is it called a timekeeper?

Neo Zuko

a) That sounds like an awesome mini system you're building
b) But, too much talk about stereos and not enough about headphones!
c) Still, I would go with getting a sub before getting a second power amp to run in mono.  The full-range factor brought by a sub will make a far bigger difference than the clarity/power advantages of dual mono amps
d) Why would you even need two mono amps if the first one is already giving you 75 watts?  Especially running bookshelf speakers like the LS50s, which are the crux of a mini system and not something to blow up a concert hall.  Kef themselves recommend power input of 25w - 100w, so a single stereo amp at 75w puts you near the top of their recommended range...
d.5) If your goal has less to do with power, and more to do with going dual mono, I'm sure you could maintain your budget but put an emphasis on fewer watts with higher quality per watt - not that we know the quality of watts in the Timekeeper yet, since it still isn't released...  But if your goal is, in fact, power and loudness sufficient for a larger room, then you'd do better off with other speakers than the LS50s: As amazing as they are supposed to be, even the best bookshelf speakers ever made would be undermatched in a very large space.

The thinking was The LS50's are perfect for the small areas I tend to live in and they won't bug any roommates as much. They seem to be the perfect set of PC/HDTV mini speakers. Combined with these Burson products, the perfect mini system. And when I am not able to use those speakers at night, which is often, I could rock out on decent headphones. Also, the LS50's take a bit of juice to drive right due to low efficiency independence. Of course 75 watts will work, but will it drive those speakers with absolute authority and bring the best those speakers have to the table? If so great, save the money, but I doubt it will be enough. If I had a choice I'd rather use the LS50 speakers over headphones but perhaps the HD 700 or LCD 2 will change that preference. I think comfort might be an issue for the LCD 2, I read the LCD 2 has a more lush and less analytical sound than the HD 700. Can't I have both? Great sound and comfort?

Even at 85db a single time keeper will be plenty I would say. Yes the Audeze is a warmer animal over the HD700. And not very analytical but has plenty of detail, dont get me wrong.

Hi guys...i need some advice if u dont mind. Which one is a better choice between of getting burson soloist + centrance dac mini cx OR this burson conductor alone. I am going to use it to drive T1 and LCD2r2...thanks.

Everything under 1 roof is the shortest signal path. And because this piece uses separate power supplies for the amp and digital section it is like having 2 separate pieces. Which in most cases is better. I would take the Conductor over the Soloist plus an external Dac in the same price point area. Burson is one of the best selling pieces we have. They are built like tanks, High Quality, Great value, rarely ever have issues. One of my favorite pieces for sure.

Thanks Drubrew...i will surely check out for the conductor. After reading several reviews...it sounds very promising. I may more consider this unit over soloist+external dac.
