I kept thinking that surely someone would start a thread about a new Autechre album!

I guess someone just did. One may DL legally (for a price) in FLAC or MP3.

What do you guys think so far?

I'm liking it quite a lot. It's insane, brutal and occasionally harsh, but a lot more cohesive than 'Untilted'. 'Tankakern' is one of the best electronic beats I've heard in a while!

No doubt, it is a nice propulsive track, to me made better preceded by the stabby glitch of "Steels" and followed by the downtempo drone of "rale". Those three songs followed by "Fol3" into "fwzE" into "90101-5l-l" are a particularly strong batch. I'm also digging the very techre sounding tech track "plyPhon" and the descending "cheric9".

Man, I can keep listing great tracks off this collection. This album is very good.

Heads up for techre fans, Clark (Chris Clark) just dropped a new one Turning Dragon. It's quite a departure from the brilliant Body Riddle, much more bangin ' with machine noise in a more closed techno sphere, Autechre at their most aggressive and melodic.

Anyway, I think it's purty darn great. Here, sample it if ya want.
