You already had it right the first time considering the Nuforce HDP, I do not have enough words to describe how good it was. It was enough for me to abandon the Matrix Mini-i Dac/Amp and Matrix M-Stage setup I was running altogether and the kicker was I freed up a lot more space on my workstation.
The HRT is good, but the HRT MS2+ is massively better, but both of them use USB power which is somewhat dirty compared to the wall wart that the HDP has.

Ok I just checked back on the thread, you bought a 160DS, which is EXCELLENT! Good choice man, I heard one of those with the LCD-2 I used to have and damn that thing is titties
