Hey guys, right now i have a DT990 pros, sounds just fine using a X-Fi titanium HD. Was wondering what i could use for a better experience that could hopefully connect to my sound card.

Are you thinking of a headphone amp which sits on the desktop, or would you have a use for something more portable?
 
Schiit do a nice low cost amp called the Magni, this will sit on the desktop. Or there's more portable/versatile battery operated equivalents such as the Fiio E12 if you also fancy the idea of wandering around the house with the DT990s and iphone player or equivalent.

Some thing for my desktop. Yea, i was looking at the magni, but i was wondering how it would actually connect to my sound card since the only input/output is a TOSlink

Since i am not sure, i might just upgrade the full thing but it would be pretty cool to reuse my old sound card.

Try looking at the Fiio D03K, this will take an optical signal and convert to RCA for the Magni. You get a 6ft TOSLink cable too.
