I made a DIY RCA cable with these and they will not fit my amp. They don't stay in. Any ideas?

Are you sure you're getting them pushed all the way down? They take a good bit of force to connect versus typical RCA plugs.

I am pushing the heck out of them. Because the spring action happens, the outside doesn't connect (I know, kindof the point), but it won't stay in.

Just barely making contact to the jack:


Lightly pushing down to make the shield retract:


Push hard and the plug "pops" onto the jack:


They're such stiff plugs... they shouldn't just fall off once pushed all the way down. Can you take a pic or two of them connected to the jack?

Haha, yeah, they're stiff alright. Glad it wasn't anything wrong with the plugs or jacks.

Me too. I thought I was going to break something when I pushed them in. It is crazy!
