Hi,
I bought two Neutrik NPX3 connectors and was planning on using one on my beyer bt880 cable.
Anyhow, I cannot seem to get this connector to work. Here's what I'm doing.
1)slide the threaded cap down the cable.
2)Place blue plastic insert around cable.
3)Solder connections
4)Slide barrel over the soldered connection and blue insert
Now here's the problem. I cannot for the life of me get that barrel to slide over the connector and the plastic insert and come out straight. Am I missing something here? The plastic connector is slid onto the connector with the little tabs. I'm using Mogami 2535 wire but I also tried to assemble it with no wire in case the mogami was too fat.
I just dug up a 1/4" Vampire Wire connector for now, but I'd like to know how to use this connector.
Thanks,
JMJ
