I've recently being getting into vinyl in a big way and have been listening to my speaker system a lot more than my woodied grados.
What im after is recreating the sound of my Musical Fidelity A1 amplifier, which is on the warmth side of neutral. Silky smooth mids and highs with just the right amount of bass (it's ust there, nice and defined, not blow your head off!)
I listen to mainly blues/rock, prog rock, pop and some electronic (Aphex Twin & alias'/Boards of Canada) and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to something more refined than the grados. (Don't get me wrong, ive thoroughly enjoyed my woodied ms1's, just after something a little more refined now)
Open or closed i dont mind, and price is upto around £200. Would happily buy second hand.
