If you don't have any issues then you don't really need to disable it. But if you'd use ASIO you might have to as Wireless takes resources and affects latency. Crackles and pops are the result of this

Most netbooks, afaik, will have a fan - question is how load will said fan be ? My Asus made no audible noise at all, so I gave it to my (now ex) girlfriend. Dont do that.
