Hello all Head-fiers! I'm a Music Major looking for a quality portable setup.
I'm looking for a DAC and Amp setup that I can use with my smartphone (Samsung S5). I plan on driving Venture Electronics Monk+s and a pair of HD 598s.
What I'm looking for in the products:
1. They provide more clarity in the sound and can drive the cans/buds.
2. They possibly don't eat the battery on the phone quickly.
3. The combined cost of the products is $150 or less.
4. Maybe some EQ settings to help the 598s out - I find their sound signature to be rather hollow (lacks lows and detail in the treble).
