Hey guys,

I'm looking to buy a pair of portable headphones (not transportable

) in the upcoming month. I have a budget of roughly $250 USD.
The headphones will mostly see use on my daily train commute to Uni (which usually last from 45 minutes - 1 hour).

Requirements

Durable
Decent noise isolation & low leakage
Can cope with most genres of music
Able to driven from portable devices without the need of external amplification

At the moment I'm leaning towards the Beyerdynamic DT1350, but the Sennheiser Amperior, Momentum and the Onkyo FC300/HF300 are also on my radar.

Also note that I don't really have a preferred sound signature ... so I may just go with the most technically capable headphone (if that makes any sense).

Thanks in advance

Amperior has been discontinued so if you can't find a pair, HD25 Aluminium took it's place. Even plain old HD25-1 II is a great portable pair and much cheaper.
