I have a really big problem, and I am trying to decide what's at fault...

I have an LD MKIII did the 6H30Pi-MOD (changed the 68 Ohm to 120 Ohm resistor), now I got my new 6H30Pi DR tubes, and it seems that the right channel is louder than the left?!??! only happens after about 10 minutes of play, then a switched the tubes and the left channel was louder than the right, this leads me to believe that one of the tubes is defective???? Or is it that I did not do the resistor mod properly? Also one of the tubes glows brighter than the other, also these tubes are not matched, but There should not be that big a difference, since I almost can hear no music from one channel... I am think of sending the tubes back

Thanks for your time guys! cheers,

It sure sounds like you may have a defective tube. Can you still use the original tubes after the mod? If yes try them to see if you have a similar problem. You may want to use a magnifying glass to make sure you do not have a cold joint in the new solders. Also check that you did not pull anything out when doing the mod. Good luck.
