So my friend is getting married march 4th and he asked me to be the best man. Never been one and I have no idea what to do except throw a great bachelors party...which im already working on. Anyway, I have a feeling he's going to need a DJ and I used to do it in high school so I still have the equipment. I won't be the DJ (prolly going to ask a friend to do it for 50 bux using my equipment) but I still need to consider what music to have available. I've got alot of that new age kind of music around plus some other typical 80's songs. I really don't know what stereotypical wedding music would be though. Billboard hits? Rock? POP? I need some suggestions on what to get/play for my friend who's 21 (I know he's too young but let's not get into that).
Here's an artist list I've thought of so far:
Mooney Suzuki (fun music)
Outkast
Ben Folds Five
Clapton
Foreigner
Clash (given really
)
Joe Strummer/mascaleros
weezer
Black Eyed Peas (maybe)
Cheap Trick (maybe a little dream police lol)
Daft Punk (for the grinders)
journey (ehh)
greatest hits 80-85 (few good ones in that comp)
kylie minogue
lucky boys confusion
maroon 5
dirtbombs
I'm looking for anything that'll get people up and dance. Anything that's like mooney suzuki is also good (anyone who's heard them knows their power to make ya rock out
)
thanx
