Right now I'm using a Wyred 4 Sound uDac. It's awesome when I can run it with Toslink but it doesn't play nice with Foobar/Wasapi in USB output mode (works fine with JRiver though). I'm changing computers and I'm going to lose my Toslink out so it looks like I'll need a new DAC.
My requirements are:
USB input (min 24/96 but 24/196 would be sweet)
$100-$200
DC power input (so it doesn't run on USB power). This is a strange one I know (and eliminates a lot of possibilities but I've had problems with DACs that run on USB power before (I use a ton of peripherals).
Any recommendations?
P.S. multiple RCA outputs would be sweet. Than I could run desktop speakers and my amp off of it.
