So i am looking to recable the Koss 4AAA headphones. The connection where the cable and the earphone meet is frayed. I've tried to look for screws or joints, but can't find any. Anyone ever taken these headphones apart?

most koss headphones I have encounter have screws behind the earpads

Contact Koss first, I think their lifetime warranty goes for all their products.

Unfortunately, only the PRO4AA headphones are covered under the lifetime warranty.

Anybody ever open these cans up?

Photos. Cups snap into place, left cup tricker to remove than right cup. Right cup, grip like I did, stick thumb under knob, pull up and slighty forward. Comes off easy. Left side, wedge a thin piece of plastic (thinner than a credit card). Gently work around edges to create larger gap. Cup should come off easy enough.

Looks like you did a good job! how do they sound?

Better. The resistance on the new cable is .8 Ω, the factory was 3Ω.
The bass has become more responsive (but I also got new earpads, so those might have done that)
