I'm looking for a DAC + Preamp. I need them to power Infinity Primus P153 passive speakers. I also want the DAC to be very good. I can also purchase a Dayton DTA-100a preamp for the speakers if just buying a DAC would be better. I DO NOT need a headphone amp since I am having an Objective 2 amplifier built for me by a friend.
Any suggestions? I could also take into account some stereo receivers, but don't at all know which are good. I know Yamaha is a really good brand, but finding one that does 2.1 well and is cheap enough for me to buy/easy enough for me to find used is the toughy.
Suggestions? Thoughts? Links to experienced opinions?
