I’ve just moved to a shuttle computer, so I no longer have any room for a sound card . So I’m looking to build a USB DAC. I just need suggestions and/or links. My budget is basically less then $200 Australian dollars. I was looking at Guzzler’s DAC, but I wasn’t sure if I would be able to get the chips, or if kits are still available.
There are no size restraints, bigger is probably better if it makes it easier to soldier. USB powered is best for me, but I’m flexible. I can etch my own boards if that is needed, but I don’t think I would be able to etch anything really complicated.

An evolved design of guzzler's USB DAC is in the works (with several different powering options)... Hope this helps.
