Need more. Not familiar with those two bands. Give other examples. Try to describe in words what you like about the bands.
For example, I like a lot of hard rock with femme vox that has a well-produced "sheen" across the entire thing, such as the Gathering, Lacuna Coil, and Theatre of Tragedy.

Try *After Forever* - you'll almost certainly love them (symphonic goth/doom/prog. metal, beatifull femme opera vox) and *Within Temptation* - softer metal alla Lacuna Coil... also Edenbridge (alla Nightwish style) are good. On the harder edge of Metal - Tristania really rocks (beauty and the beast style vocals)... you may already know them from the never ending metal thread...
kin3tix - Although you asked for "hard rock", and these are metal, I think you may also like them...

- BEYOND TWILIGHT - The Devil's Hall fo Fame
- SUPERIOR - Ultima Ratio
- PAIN OF SALVATION - Remedy Lane
- TIME MACHINE - Act II: Galileo
- ENTWINE - Time of Despair
- GREYHAVEN - S/T
- SYMPHONY X - V
- CENTURY - Melancholia
In the same vein of above, though featuring female vocals:
- MOONLIGHT - Yaishi
- BETO VAZQUES INFINITY - S/T
- DREAMS OF SANITY - The Game
- SINPHONIA - When the Tide Breaks
- CHALLICE - Chronicles of Dysphoria
- LANA LANE - Secrets of Astrology
- AFTER FOREVER - Decipher
- NIGHTWISH - Century Child
... if you haven't already, maybe you might want to check out the band Glassjaw evolved from, Sons Of Abraham. and maybe some of the other bands also on the Exit/Wreck-Age roster, ie. Indecision, Silent Majority, Motive, Tripface etc.
Exit/Wreck-Age put out a label compilation around '98 or so, entitled "Mindset Overhaul", so that may be worth a listen.
I listen to Finch. Some good hard rock/"nu-metal" bands are Lollipop Lust Kill and American Head Charge. They're alot hmm... darker(?) than Finch, but very good bands. AHC is my 2nd favorite band (after Tool).
