Bit of a newbie at this but i need some help:
 
Just got a powered sub with amp (5.1) system, but it only has a 5.1 input. I need a way of getting from that to an RCA
 
I have no idea about decoders or anologue and digital stuff. So if there is any help please keep it simple for me.

cheers for the reply but i found that through google. i dont see how it works or how it could work for me.
 
I only have a 5.1 cable input. the one with all the pins. on the back there are only outputs for the speakers (all 5) and for a 2.1 system (a red and white RCA).
 
that adapter only has a red and white, how would that work going into an output?
 
would it work if i hook up a 5.1 dvd player with audio going to an input on the back via RCA and then to the sub through a 5.1 cable?
