The other day, while installing the cable on my hifiman he-500, i dropped them and it landed on the left cup cable plug. Both the outer sleeve and the pin inside are broken. After a little search, I found that the broken connector was a smc male plug. I want to try replacing it but the problem is that i've got absolutely no idea of how to remove the broken plug. Does anyone have any idea of how to safely remove it without breaking or damaging anything? It would be such a waste to lose this wondeful pair of headphone.

Try using tweezers to carefully remove the pieces. But it also looks like the connector can be easily removed and replaced.

I'll try this. But I'm still wondering how the connector can be removed. Do I need to unscrew the nut from the inside? Or do I need to push it out? The nut seems to fit tighly in the cup enclosure, so I'm not sure I can unscrew it. Also, from the inside there seems toi be some sort of glue around the nut.
