I have an iPad Air 5th Gen. I used to be able to use my ifi Zen DAC just fine with the USB-C dongle that I had. Well I couldn’t find that dongle for a while until I cleaned out a drawer in my house and now it won’t work with the iPad. Anyone know why? Would I have to change a setting on the iPad?

Try plugging into other device than that iPad to see the dongle itself has a problem. Be sure to use OTG cables

Contact iFi - they even have a rep on here. Make sure it powers up when you plug it in - try another device to ensure it has power. Software updates can accidentally break stuff sometimes, but it's pretty rare.
