Hi All,

I do some home recording.  My interface which I have my studio monitors hooked up to is the Focusrite Saffire Pro 24.  Here's my situation, I usually run my headphones (Audio Technica ADH-M50 and AKG Q701) directly into my Saffire Pro 24 but I'm not certain if getting a DAC and desktop amp would be more beneficial.  And if it will be, should I run it through my Saffire Pro or hook the DAC/Amp up to a different USB port?  Thanks for the suggestions!

Hi there,
Your M50's doesn't benefit much from a headphone amp, while the Q701 does. In this case, a standalone headphone amp is more convenient.
