, it was my fault i forgot about it when i went to sleep. got up and we landed and that was it. Delta dosn't have it, the airport dosnt have it. some little punk probably has it and all my good music. his judgment day will come...

any way im in the search for a replacemet with a resonable price. i really liked that player and i have the software for it dudebox software from readchairsoftware.com and if i can i will get another. but i want to be open to suggestions. I have been doing some searching on the Rio Karma, Ipod, Creative Zen, and the Dell. Im not spending 400 on a color screen and all that nonsense, i just need a music player. Im not done searching but any advice or imput would be great. what to avoid and why, or what i should look for. im up for used or referbished mainly, some get too pricy when new, like the overhyped Ipod.

If you're after about 5Gb, I'd get the Creative Zen Micro for sure. Excellent sound quality, well priced, good feature set. If you want something around the 20Gb range, definately look at the iRiver H320 and the iAudio X5. I've had a play around with them at work and they're frigging awesome

my sister got a zen micro a month or so ago. its a dandy little player with the same interface as my dell, but i hated the super sensitive touch pad, even turn to the lowest setting. she said she was getting used to it but i couldn't stand it.

and sadly the IRiver and IAudio players are both well above my budget, sad but i cant do it.

how is the Rio Karma. i have read some negative and positive reviews on it. is it a hit or miss type player, people seem to have harddrive issues.

well it seems that the Karma is a good player but it has its problems. It just dosn't seem as reliable as i would like. sure i may get a good one but its a chance i don't think is wise for a penny pincher like myself.

I have also looked at some of the new Sony Hi-MiniDisk players and they seem quite cool, i had an older NetMD player and the software sucked hardcore, i really don't know why Sony even relesed it. I see they have and update of Sonic Stage but is it really better?

Im still trying to avoid an Ipod, there overhyped and overpriced.

i have a chance to pick up another dell DJ but a 20 gig this time...im just wanting to try somehting a little different.

I'd personally thow out a few extra bucks for the X5 but if you really can't do that try and find a used iriver H100 series player. An H120 with rockbox firmware is amazing.

well the iAudio x5 is very inviting but it does more crap than i need it for. seriously im not paying 300+ for a color screen and all that. not saying its bad, just saying its overkill for me....maybe not for others.

Im looking at Iriver, still not sure but they do look inviting.

I was also looking at the Sony HD3...but for some reason i cant get myself to buy a Sony MP3 player.

Im also eyeing the Creative Zen Touch...still don't know much onthis player. though it has the same menue system as my Dell did.

thanks thought for the Ideas. I will probably endup getting a resonably priced player and giving it my own review.

well i have narrowed it down to a few players.

-Sony HD3 ( not positive but i like the look of the player )...any one know how this one sounds unamped...with Sennheiser HD497s

-Creative Zen Touch ( like my Dell ( same display and size...still a little rich for my blood )

-Creative Zen Extra ( too fat, but its a good deal )

- Rio Karma- IF i can find one. they are noware to be found and if i can find them there still over 200.

Iriver and Iaudio stuff is out of the picture...along with the Ipod.
