Hello,
I am based in India and I've just joined this forum (Hi!). I am planning to buy a new pair of headphones and I need some advice. I am not an audiophile though I love my music. As far as headphones are concerned, I have been using a Sennheiser pmx 60 for the last 2-3 years, for everyday use. I also own the Philips noise cancelling SBCHN110 which I have barely used because I find them too bulky (and attracting attention for some odd reason).
Now, I am planning to buy a new pair and I want them to be my primary headphones and based on my budget, I have three choices (in no particular order):
1. Philips SHL5200BK/10 CitiScape (Shibuya)
2. Sennheiser HD 218
3. AKG K420 On-Ear
I should also mention that I primarily use my iPod classic for music and sometimes I use my Lumia 720. I do not much use headphones with the PC.
The one factor that is in favor of (1) and (2) above is that they have one-sided chords. I don't know about others but I am used to one sided cabled headphones. Since I use my headphones when I am working on a desktop, I find the ease of movement a big plus.
Please do tell me what you think of it?
Thanks,
