Well, im planning on buying the dt770 pro (80 ohm version most likely), so i was wondering what the best portable amp and dac would be. The headroom bit head looks promising, but then again, so does the ibasso d2. I would like to keep the budget below $200. They will be used by my Zune and computer.
Any other recommendations would be great as well.

If you can go a little above $200, I quite like the Practical Devices XM5.

HeadphoneAddict did a series of reviews that might be good reading for you. He and Skylab seem to be the resident gurus of these kinds of devices. Read up both of their reviews listed herein and you'll likely learn heaps. As an aside, I've contacted both these good chaps for info and been graciously assisted. Hope this helps.
