Need recommendation for reliable, simple watch..

Amen to that, I have the fossil james bond watch, and the glass part always breaks.

Anyway... Go with something swiss or german made. If it were me, I'd just go with one of those atomic watches from Junghans.

I also like those luminox watches.

I got a Kenneth Cole watch recently, this one in particular:

Goes for about $125. it's pretty quiet and refined, which I like. It's also very comfortable to wear, and has a great locking mechanism.
