So I have a SoundBlaster Omni surround headphone amp thing, but recently I've turned off the surround processing on it as I realized it made everything sound kind of muddy, especially music and voices in podcasts/youtube videos. I don't really seem to be missing it ingame either, which is odd I've used Dolby Surround and this Creative SBX for the last 5 years.

So now I'm considering just switching to a better headphone amp (do they also have mic inputs? my Omni does, I need that for my headset: Sennheiser G4ME ZERO) and getting some speakers for my PC, since I haven't had that for a couple years and kinda miss it.

Budget for the speakers is under 200$, for the headphone amp I'm thinking under 100$.

Not sure what my amp setup would be, do I need something separate for the speakers too? I want something so it's easy to switch between speakers/headset.
Would really appreciate help, thanks!

Monoprice 5" studio monitors, $136, normally $171

Creative Labs Sound Blaster Z sound card, $100

So total could be around $250, well under the $300 budget you had for audio.

Forgot to mention needs to be USB based!  No PCIe slots to spare haha

FiiO E10K USB-DAC-amp, $76
Just plug the mic into the on-board audio's line-input (mic) port.
