I have looked at the buyers guide, but I still need help. I listen to podcasts 99% of the time on my 1g iPod nano in bed, I roll onto my nano, pull the cord out, etc. So I need IEM's that can handle that hence not just going out and getting ER-6i's etc. I live in Vancouver BC, so it would be nice if I can pick them up locally ASAP (as I use my iPod daily and need my night time podcast to go to sleep

).

my EX-51's bit the dust (I had to max out my iPod nano just to hear them and still had trouble) yesterday, and I need to replace them immediately. As I am listening to podcasts that are talk radio 99% of the time in bed etc,

I need to have IEM's that meet the following requirements
  1. strong
  2. durable
  3. thicker cord (since I turn over onto the iPod)
  4. can handle being pulled out of my iPod when I move
  5. Are good for working out at the gym
Cost is a factor (I don't want to spend hundreds on them).

Thanks for the help

I've read a lot of people saying that the Shure's SE110 are overpriced. Although i got to agree with the Shure's durability. I own a E2c and it's super durable. Might be lucky, but indeed really tough ...

Only the wire is over the ear and in my opinion it just feels alot more secure. I owned Etymotic Er6i last week and returned them because they weren't comfortable or durable. I bought these and found a great fit plus they are alot more durable then the ER6i.

Here is a video if you want to check them out (I like them more than the ER6i)
Shure SE110 Sound Isolating Earphones (black) Headphone reviews - CNET Reviews

And I don't understand how they are overpriced.. I got them for the same price as the ER6i, and those things are overpriced. The Shure SE100 costs like 100 bucks without any sale. You get alot more with the Shure than the ER6i.
