I have been using a Razer Carcharias headset for the past 5 years and it is now having issues (left cup not working) and need a new pair of headphones.
I will be using these for gaming and listening to music on my laptop and 3ds.
I prefer over-ear headphones as I tend to wear them for over 5 hours at a time.
I prefer to listen to soundtracks from games and anime.
Mostly concert music.
What should I get and if anyone can recommend a mic to go with it, preferably clip-on.

You could get an Audio Technica ATH-AD700 and get it modded.

I would rather not mod unless it would be easy and wouldn't put me over $100, I'll keep it in mind.

I would recommend the Sennheiser PC 360's but they're around 200$.
 
However the ATH-770COM might be a good headset for you. They haven't received much attention on these forums but AT is known to create high quality products in terms of sound and construction.
