hello all,

i have searched the forum and read some threads about the vaio pocket but i have a few questions.

1. does it support a lossless codec?
2. can the user replaceable battery be switched with a spare battery on the fly?
3. how does the sound compare to the iaudio x5?
4. is there any settings to enhance sound?

1. No. MP3 or ATRAC only. Not a problem for me - I was FLAC until this player and don't miss it.
2. Never tried, but I think it is replacable (not as easy as the HD5, but I think 1st Sony model where you can tell you can unscrew the hatch and put it in).
3. I had an iAudio M3 prior to the Sony. I find the Sony more musical sounding.
4. A few fixed EQ settings.

To answer question #2. Part of the battery actually wraps around the side of the case. It's held in with 4 screws and slides into a connector. It can be replaced but only with a battery provided by Sony.
