Hey guys was wondering if i could get some suggestions for some new headphones.  i would like to spend around 200-300 dollars for some audiophile type headphones for music and would like some good soundstage for gaming as well.  i will be paring it with the O2 amp/ODAC  combo... any help would be great thanks!

Does it matter if the headphones are open or closed?
The Beyerdynamic DT880 Pro 250-Ohm or Sennheiser HD-598 might be good choices for you.

Agreed.

For better soundstage for gaming, open headphones are your best bet. They tend to have the bigger soundstage.

Also, your O2/ODAC will be good for almost any headphone you select.

Do you already have the ODAC?
You can't send headphone gaming surround sound thru the ODACs USB input port, but the ODAC should offer great 2-channel audio.

Digbuy is selling the Audio Technica ATH-A900Xs (closed) headphones for $155, plus shipping and tax.
I paid $256 for mine.
