Hello, i`m new here and as an hifier and i would like your help...
I bought Audio-Technica`s ATH-AD700 for gaming and i would like to improve its soundstage.
I use it 4 gaming, musics and movies but i want to focus at gaming...
I dont know what an AMP does ( sorry ).
i would like your recomendations for what does i need to get GREAT performance, i dont have soundcard, i dont have amp, JUST THE headphone and my motherboard... please under 200 USD per iten...
if possible recommend DAC then soundcard ( do they do the same thing doenst it ? ) becouse i play cups at lan houses and i would like to bring my audio performance with me... ( and i cannot add some card into the pc :s )

You do not need an amp at all for the AD700s. Get yourself a good gaming soundcard like this:

That soundcard has CMSS3D which is a 3D simulator which might help with the sound quality. Your AD700s already have awesome soundstage, you can't really get much better for gaming, but maybe your onboard sound is holding you back. This soundcard I recommended will fix that. I have it myself and use it for playing CSS and it's amazing for that.

ok but does i need to use it 7.1 ? isnt the ad700 stereo or i`m confused ?

Of course it's stereo, but the CMSS3D can mimic 7.1 surround to get an extremely accurate performance when gaming.
