I use MP3Tag to edit/get tag data from Amazon.
Today I found out from MP3Tag that alot of my mp3 files mysteriously changed from MpegI LayerIII to MpegI LayerI, Mpeg 2.5 LayerI or some other dumb permutation.

These files cannot be added to iTunes now because they mutated. What's mysteriously changing the codecs of the files?

Odd to say the least.

Aside from iTunes and Mp3Tag, what other software has had an opportunity to access and process these mp3 files in any way?

I use windows media player.. could it be the problem?

Oh and great suggestion, I didn't know mp3tag has forums.. I'll go take a look!

FIXED!!

Used Foobar's "Rebuild MP3 Stream".. Awesome!!!!

Thanks both of you =)

Neither have I. I wonder how many people have used that option before . . .
