I have two Sony MD players, a Sony MZ-1 and a Sony NetMD MZ-N707. The N707 can connect to a PC via USB or Optical, where as the MZ-1 on will accept digital Optical In/Out or normal Analog In/Out.
Anyhow what I did was transfer music from my laptop to the NetMD player via USB and in MP3 format, in which all worked well and it also played back on the N707 as well.
Anyhow today I inserted thre same MiniDisc into my MZ-1, it read it, it showed the tracks etc etc, but when I went to play it no sound came out of my headphones, complete nothing though it was playing.
So my Q here is, is the MZ1 a different playback format.
Also will the MZ1 support ATRACT (one of Sony's formats).
