I think I have a dirty headphone jack on my iPod because when I use it with my e2c I get crackling and sometimes one of the channels cuts out. THe crackling changes as I rotate the headphone plug in the jack - if I rotate it just right the sound is perfect. So it seems like a dirty jack/contact problem. What do I use to clean the jack? Can I try WD-40?

i clean the contacts of headphone jacks with cotton slightly pulled out of a cotton bud and put a slight amount of isoprpyl(spelling?) alcohol on
