I am looking for a good iem $150 or less (new or used) that has mic and remote. I want a sound sig that is well suited for acoustic/folk music and has decent bass.

So far I have tried x10 (gave me headaches and no mic), tf10( great sound but a little too bulky and no mic, although I could have got the vi cable) and vmoda m80 (not enough isolation and sometimes instruments seemed recessed behind bass and vocals)

I am thinking of trying meelec a161p since they are $79 right now. Seems hard to beat IMO.
Also thought about se215 with iPhone cable. I don't think I would like ety hf5 but you might be able to convince me. Any help is appreciated

have a try on Phonak Audeo series, clean, crisp and detail.
SE215 can be a good choice too

So meelec a161 for $80; phonak 112 and Shure 215 for around $150. Are either of those worth double the price of the meelecs?

well, that is pretty personal thou, 
i love how PFE series fits into my ear without obvious looking and sticking out, they just sit nicely and no stress when i use on bed, sport and plane.

2 Years warranty which for me is a huge plus.

I like the way it presents the sound, pretty much gives me all the clarity and clean music presentation.
