Hi

Since my latest try to buy new headphones without doing much research i need help to see if the headphones i look at right now are any good and why one would be better then the other.

For the record i use a pair of Sennheiser PC360 headphones:

into my old Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD

But since the Sennheiser are starting to spark i need to find new ones.

I jsut bought a Blue iceball as a mic so now i am looking for headphones without a mic on them but with nice open sound.

Here are some examples of the headphones within the price range i am looking at.

Sennheiser HD 559

AKG K 701

Shure SRH840

the price range is 1000-2000 sek so 111.05 US dollar to 222.12 US Dollar

Hopefully you disabled the motherboard's on-board audio, in the BIOS, when you installed the Titanium-HD.

Maybe buy a used HD558 headphone.

Sometime in the future maybe buy an external headphone amplifier and connect it to the Titanium-HD's RCA output jacks.
Might improve audio quality over plugging headphones directly into the Titanium-HD's headphone jack.
