I would like to get a device which is small enough to fit comfortably in a pocket. I would prefer it have a screen and UI but this can be sacrificed for cost. It needs to emphasize clear audio so i can easily understand voices. Reliable controls and battery life are also both good things. Needs to have or be capable of storing 2gb or more. Also i would love it if i didn't have to deal with a DRM system such as the one apple employs with it's products. Price needs to be reasonable, i would be reluctant to buy a $50 mp3 player.
 
 
Things Im not looking for include: application stores, web browsing, video playback, touch screens. I want a bare bones mp3 player.
 
I will be using JVC HA-s500 headphones.
