I have no knowledge about headphones at all, which is why I'm here.
 
Like the title states, I'm looking to get a set of IEM headphones, or ear buds to sue while working out. I don't want noise canceling (I live in a bad area and would like to hear things as I am running). I use my phone as my music player (if that matters). I like to hip hop, metal, and top 100.
 
Budget is $35-$40, but I wouldn't mind spending up to $50 if that meant I got a much better pair.
 
If I left anything else out, I apologize.

hmmm For that price range the Sony earphones ( don't remember name ) that retail around $39.99 are pretty good at that price.

But if your willing to go above $50 to the $75 range the Jaybird Freedom  are pretty good for working out from my experience with their more expensive earphones the jaybird bluebud x at $169.99 MSRP.

Also the kilpsch image s4 vary between prices but the Android version costs $56 on amazon at the moment
