Hey guys, I'm getting a Fiio E11 soon, and due to a limited budget, and less selection it's about all I can get. Here is the pickle, would it power the 990's sufficently, or would I be better off with a E9? I am leaning towards the E11 because I want the portability, and I can't get both right now. Thanks!

Get the E9, I've tried it out and it works fairly well with the DT990 Pro ~ brings everything a little forward
too which does wonders for the slightly distant mids on these cans.

Maybe, I can only get the 250 ohm version though, and would the E9 be a big enough upgrade over the E11. Otherwise i need the portability the E11 provides for my other cans and iem's.

Sorry about that ~ just realised you were talking about the DT990-Pro's not Premiums so quickly changed my post

You could go with the E11 but I have not tested that combo unfortunately.

If you do go E11, this is the best deal.  While I am going with the same pairing - 990/250 and E11, I am too newb to give any useful detail an audiophile would need.  Besides I won't get the E11 till after the first week of Jan - purchased today and estimated delivery is Jan 6-12.
