Hey Guys,

I've been unsuccessful outputting sound from my PC into my Burson Conductor using a TOSLINK cable.
I have no issues using USB as my output source though, however.

My motherboard is the ASUS P67 Sabertooth.
My DAC is the Burson Conductor.
My OS is Windows 8.1 (x64)

What I’ve done so far:

I’ve connected the TOSLINK cable to my Optical S/PDIF out in the back I/O of my PC.
I’ve verified that the TOSLINK cable has a red light and I’ve plugged into my Burson Conductor.
I’ve ensured that my Conductor is set on the Toslink mode and that the Digital Audio (S/PDIF) Rear Panel Optical Jack is set as the default playback device.
I've ensured that the SPDIF playback (Rear Panel Audio Jack) is set as the default.
I’ve also restarted my PC for good measure.
After these steps, I do not have any play sound playback from my Burson Conductor.

USB mode however, perfectly works.
I've also uninstalled the Burson Conductor USB driver in case and I’m still not having any success.

I’m a bit perplexed and I’m wondering if I've overlooked anything or done something incorrectly.

Thanks,

Edit:
Resolved - was an issue with my mobo drivers and win 8.1
