Hey Head-fiers, I've been a long time lurker on this site and even bought my first pair of "quality" headphones based off of y'all's recommendations (Senn Momentums). This will be my first post to this forum and I'm looking for some recommendations for my upcoming brother's 21st b-day in two weeks. His music tastes are very similar to mine; my brother and I both like warmer headphones with a healthy influence in the bass department but still manages not to slaughter the mids or highs (like Beats do). I would prefer that the headphones be somewhat fashion-conscious as he prob will be taking these out in public. I have a modest budget of about $150 and two headphones I believe will suit his tastes are Sony mdr-1rs and Logitech Ultimate Ears 9000. Other suggestions are welcome though and I would really appreciate the help.

For reference, he uses an ipod so a headphone that can be easily driven would be preferable; his ipod is loaded with Timbaland, Chamillionaire, and Ludacris.

ATH-M50's might be a good choice, they're a very popular first time stylish headphone.
